Do rooftop tents use more fuel?
Adding weight and wind resistance will impact your fuel economy, however rooftop tents that are built from lightweight materials with an aerodynamic profile design will significantly reduce the impacts on fuel usage. The few extra dollars will be worth the comfort and convenience when you get there!
Which roof racks do I need to support a rooftop tent?
he best choice of roof rack is a roof bar/crossbar system. Two crossbars are usually significant for tents with a small footprint.
Are rooftop tents water and weatherproof?
Yes, all reputable rooftop tents are constructed of ripstop canvas which is tested to withstand the most torrential rain. In high winds, it is recommended to roll away the awning, and for a more comfortable sleep, park your vehicle so the roof is facing the direction of the wind.
Can I leave a rooftop tent on my car year-round?
There is absolutely nothing wrong with leaving your rooftop tent permanently installed on your vehicle. If it is going to be subject to weather all year round, it is important to wash and protect the tent regularly as you should do with your vehicle to reduce fading and deterioration.
Can I mount things on top of the rooftop tent?
Not all tents allow for mounting on the roof, however a well designed ABS plastic hard shell roof can often allow the mounting of a flexible solar panel to keep power running to your battery.
Will my car support a rooftop tent?
Choosing a suitable rooftop tent for your car is an important factor. Each vehicle has its own roof load weight limit, which should be considered. Additionally, some canopies have limitations regarding both weight and recommendations of overhang. Lightweight ABS hardshell tents tend to have a very small footprint when travelling, and are suited to most vehicle set ups. Always check your roofload limit.

Would leave zero stars if I could. Horrible service and terrible quality of installation. Still waiting for the store manager to call me back after 4 business days after they have done a very dodgy installation of light bar and bull bar and left me with an unroadworthy vehicle
Don't waste money or time there website says in stock AFTER a week they finally reply to say they have to order it in then when ask to return money they say it's already been sent but don't want to give you a tracking number would give less stars if I could
Took over three weeks for my light covers to arrive and on top of that I only recieved one despite the website saying it comes in a pair.
Very friendly and very helpful.Dropped in to only buy some awning brackets, but I'll definitely be back.
Have spent a fair bit of coin at this shop on lift, snorkel, winch, bullbar and rear bar. Couldn't be happier with the quality of work, customer service and honesty. I'll be back :-)
